Add-on re: Nature Trail Assault

***********************************

It's Garbage Day

46 degrees and dry at 6:15 a.m.

The WKTV Weather Forecast:  "High pressure remains in control  of our weather for one more day, before rain arrives for Friday.  Partly to mostly sunny skies today with highs in the upper 60s.  Clouds arrive tonight along with rain after midnight.  Lows in the low 50s.
A slow moving cold front brings us steady rain late tonight and most of Friday, before seasonably cooler weather returns for the weekend.  Saturday looks to start out unsettled with scattered showers and clouds.  Highs in the upper 50s.  Drier weather returns on Sunday.
Mild weather arrives again next week."

IN THE NEWS
Of Area Interest

"Public's help needed in identifying suspect in Kirkland sex assault"  from WKTV.

3:30 p.m. add-on; Thanks to Patty Ford and a phone call she made to authorities - the "assault" took place in an area behind the Lutheran Homes.  Many Marshall Trail walkers had been asking.  Just knowing that the M.T. is not the trail in the news is not, however, reason for ANYone who chooses to walk a trail alone, ANYwhere, to presume that they are completely safe.

IN THE MAIL

From Glen Carroll:  "... a picture of my mom ('Pat') doing the 'Diva Dash' in Massachusetts.  Going on 81, but still chasing kids overcargo nets!"  (Thanks, Glen!)

*********

From Gil Condon:  "I like your fall shots.  Our Ginkgo tree is still green. The lane into the old school was a great shot too ... the fence is gone, impossible!  Memories have a fence there, forever.  Respectfully,    gil condon. "

Hey Gil!  Look what I saw yesterday!

The fence is coming back!

Other Things to See.

On West Main Street.

On Berrill Avenue, I interrupted Faith's mowing - but only for a minute!

West Bacon Street.

Stafford Avenue.

Berrill Avenue.

The most elaborate Hallowe'en scene! Stop and peek over this fence on Putnam Street.

The leaves on the Red Oak trees that are planted here and there along Sanger Avenue have turned their wonderful coppery-bronzy Fall colors. I couldn't get a good picture of them in place, so brought a few home - perhaps to draw, this weekend.

 Out in the Country

The second - or perhaps third - cutting, behind Edie Eastman's place in Dicksville.

(Noontime add-on: Yes!  Edie confirmed that it was the third cutting!)

Leaves on the beech and poplar trees make clumps of gold.

Milkweed silk is flying.
(Double click!)

With acres and acres of sand-colored soy surrounding it, the "Boston Bank lot" on Sally Road looks like an oasis in a desert, to me!

Have a good weekend, everyone!
