It's 60 degrees and dry at 6:30 A.M.
The forecast from YNN: "Cooler, but Still Mild and Mainly Dry Today; Much Cooler Tomorrow
After the passage of yesterday’s intense cold front, today will be cooler and mainly dry. Sun will blend in with clouds and while most will remain dry, one or two isolated showers can’t be ruled out. Highs will be well into the 70s to near 80, which is still on the mild side for this time of year. Tonight will be partly cloudy and much cooler with lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Tomorrow will be refreshing with a good amount of sun and highs only in the 60s to near 70.
A new system will approach on Friday with increasing clouds and widespread showers developing by Friday night if not sooner.
While the weekend won’t be a washout, there will be a few hit or miss showers. Temperatures will also remain seasonable to on the cool side through the weekend and into the first half of next week."

Yesterday afternoon around 3:00
At around four o'clock the weather map looked like this!
There was a great deal of rumbling thunder and moderate rain,
but - with the exception of one tremendous clap of thunder - that was about it and the storm had ended by six o'clock.

Here's MY calendar.
The red line means that I'm taking some time off to enjoy the season and some social events!
I'll be back in time for "Once Upon a Time in Waterville" at 1:30 on the 8th and will do something special (although I don't know what!) on June 10th to celebrate
At Home in the Huddle's sixth birthday!
And then I'll start year number seven!
(And I owe it all to Nora Keating!)

From Doris Stephan: "Another novel to film will be explored by the Waterville Book Discussion Group. This month's book is Michael Ondaatje's 'The English Patient.' We will also view the movie adaptation of the novel.
'With ravishing beauty and unsettling intelligence, Michael Ondaatje's Booker Prize-winning novel traces the intersection of four damaged lives in an Italian villa at the end of World War II. Hana, the exhausted nurse; the maimed thief, Caravaggio; the wary sapper, Kip: each is haunted by the riddle of the English patient, the nameless, burned man who lies in an upstairs room and whose memories of passion, betrayal, and rescue illuminates this book like flashes of heat lightening.'
A copy of the book may be requested by calling the Library at 841 4651. The Group will meet on Wednesday, June 27th at 12 noon in the Meeting Room at the Waterville Library. Bring your lunch, beverages and dessert will be served."
