It's 61 degrees and gray at 6:15 a.m.
The Weather Forecast from WKTV: " A muggy and mild start to the day with temperatures starting out in the low 60s. Temperatures will only reach the low to mid 70s by the afternoon due to cloud cover and rain. A few light rain showers this morning with increase in coverage this afternoon. A weak cold front pushes through during the late afternoon/early evening with the chance for a few thunderstorms.
Precipitation winds down tonight into Wednesday but the chance for a passing shower or thunderstorm still exists on Wednesday. Dry and warm weather returns by the end of the work week."

There must be some connection between the ignition on the blog-car and rain clouds because, more times than not, as soon as I set out on my afternoon tour it begins to rain!
I managed to get to the Park and take these two pictures of the new granite benches before the skies really opened. Then I went to Municipal Hall to find out more about them. They are "memorial" gifts, and it appears that there will be four in all, but I can't give you any details right now.

The super-tall "Cucumber Magnolia" in front of the Mack residence on Berrill Avenue is in bloom, but I can't reach any of the blossoms and resorted to using this photograph that I found on "Google images."
The "Tree Peonies" in the Root Glen at Hamilton College are at their best .........
............. and even the common Barberry is hung with strands of orangy - yellow blossoms.

Having seen several beds or clumps of Rhubarb - or "pie plant," as my great-aunt Carrie called it - in the past few days, I went again to Google to find a picture.

This image of a Rhubarb blossom was so striking that I clicked on it and found myself looking at a collection of "art photos" on "Flickr."
And that is what happened to the rest of the afternoon!
Blog readers who are photographers or artists might enjoy spending some time looking at the collection, too, and may be inspired to experiment with Photoshop!

I'll be out and about quite a good deal, today, and will be watching for hanging baskets to appear on telephone poles and flowers to be planted in the "tubs," uptown.
Have a good day, everyone!
