Yesterday's Ride-around
I only took one picture because, at the time I was driving, it was dark and drizzly. But there she was: "Mother Goose," sitting on her weedy nest in the pond next to Madison Street just a bit west of Jack Prior's.

Ryan Farber
BENEFIT SATURDAY, MAY 26
From Bridgett Welsh, asking me to post a link to a blog that has been set up for her nephew, Ryan Farber, a 2008 graduate of WCS and whose mother is Tammy Falin:
"Ryan was recently diagnosed with a Grade II Astrocytoma on his brain stem. Our family is putting together a benefit for him, but more than anything he needs prayers and encouragement. A lot of people don't have a facebook page, so we started the blog for them to leave comments or receive updates." (Click the photo of Ryan to reach the blog!)

I had company, yesterday morning, and one of the ladies asked what I knew about "Straw Bale Gardening." (Nothing!) But that sent us off to "Google" to learn about it and now I wonder if any of you have ever used that method? Click here. Sounds interesting!
