It's "Green Waste" Day
51 degrees and clear at 6:16

The Weather Forecast from YNN: "Today is shaping up to be a pleasant one with lots of sun, dry weather and highs in the upper 70s to near 80.

Outside of a very isolated shower/storm, the rest of the week is looking dry with a mix of sun and clouds and slightly warmer temperatures. Highs for both Wednesday and Thursday will be pretty close to 80 degrees and by Friday, temperatures are forecast to climb into the low/mid 80s.

Warm weather is expected to continue right into the weekend with highs in the low to mid 80s. Other than an isolated shower/storm, dry weather should prevail with plenty of sun."

Here & There

New - at the "Red Lion"

At "The Menagerie Farm," south of  the village.

At the Landis Farm on Shanley Road,
Sunflowers and Buckwheat.

Growing Wild

"Wild Cucumber"

"Wild Clematis" or "Virgin's Bower"

A very close-up view.

Japanese Knotweed. One of the three most-invasive plants I know, but it makes a good hedge and small birds love it.

Purple Loosestrife. That's another, but I think it's sort of pretty.

The third?  Goutweed (or "Bishop's Leaf," ) of course!

Have a fine day everyone!
