It's Garbage Day!

59 degrees and foggy at 6:30

The YNN Weather Forecast: "Thursday will be pleasant and warm with a blend of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

A fairly vigorous cold front will arrive on Friday with the threat for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Highs on Friday will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.  Behind this front temperatures will turn noticeably cooler heading into the weekend.

Saturday will feature quiet and pleasantly cool weather with a blend of sun and clouds.  Temperatures will struggle to get much above the low 70s Saturday afternoon.  The threat for a passing shower comes back into play Sunday and Monday with highs in the mid 70s.  Mainly dry weather will be around for the middle of next week with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s by Wednesday."

Here & There

Peeking into the "secret garden" on Babbott Avenue South.

The strange "fruit" of the Cucumber Magnolia in front of the Mack Residence are just starting to turn red.

********

This old structure on Berrill Avenue is getting a complete make-over ...

...... and this home on East Bacon Street is being scraped and painted a nice "barn red."

I've been watching changes at the long-empty Asahel Grant homestead where the famous physician / minister was born on August 17, 1804.

His amazing life story was told by Seattle author Gordon Taylor in

"Doctor Grant and the Christian Tribes of Kurdistan."
