It's Garbage Day, again!

60 degrees and clear at 6:30

The WKTV Weather Forecast: "Quiet and cloud free start to the day but clouds begin to increase this morning into the early afternoon. The cold front that moved through yesterday stalled just to our south and will be close enough to keep the chance for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Any thunderstorms that do develop have the potential for gusty winds and small hail. Temperatures will be a little bit cooler, with highs in the low 80s.

Unfortunately, the chance of rain increases on Friday into Saturday with temperatures in the mid 70s."

Here & There

On Elmwood, between Putnam and White Streets

S-m-o-o-t-h-!

I've raved about the yellow petunias in the Garden Club's "tubs,"   and owe the same applause to the Village DPW for their care of all of the hanging baskets on telephone poles along Main Street and by the park!

Thank you!

"Red sky at night, sailor's delight.
Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning."

In the Bible, (Matthew XVI: 2-3,) Jesus said, “When in evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: For the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today; for the sky is red and lowering.”

Shakespeare said something similar in his play, "Venus and Adonis." “Like a red morn that ever yet betokened, Wreck to the seaman, tempest to the field, Sorrow to the shepherds, woe unto the birds, Gusts and foul flaws to herdmen and to herds.”

I've spent far too much time this morning just trying to get used to the new version of Photoshop. Right at the moment, I don't like it at all, but I'm sure that in a few weeks I'll declare that it's the best thing to ever happen to digital photographs.

One thing's for sure: it's nowhere as messy as using real paint!

More when it happens!
Have a great day, everyone.
