It's Recyclables Day

55 degrees and overcast at 6:00 a.m.

The WKTV Weather Forecast:  "Yesterday's rain has marched to the east.  Behind it, drier, cooler weather.  For today, partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 70s.  Breezy throughout the afternoon, especially in the Mohawk Valley.

Clear skies and cool tonight with lows in the 40s.

High pressure dominates our weather for the remainder of the week and weekend.  Expect mainly sunny skies and seasonably warm weather.  Highs by the weekend will approach the low to mid 80s.  More humidity in the forecast for early next week.  The next chance for rain is likely not until the middle of next week."

BROTHERTOWN OPTIMIST SOFTBALL
(from Lee & Doris Pavlot)

"The championship game for the girls’ softball division of Tri-County Little league will be played by Waterville’s Brothertown Optimist team and the Brookfield girls’ team on Thursday evening, June 14, at the Mt. Markham field at the West Winfield Park at 6 p.m.

Refreshments will be available and the proceeds of the concession stand sales are being donated by the Mt. Markham Optimist Little League Softball team to the family of Canastota Little Leaguers Emily Simmons and Christy Rinaldo who were critically injured in an automobile accident on Saturday, June 2, following a Canastota vs Mt. Markham Central School Modified girls' softball game. They were on their way home to Canastota to play in a Canastota Little League softball game.

Our hats are off to Mt. Markham for this extremely gracious gesture."
