The YNN Weather Forecast: "Any spotty morning showers on Monday are expected to fizzle out rather quickly setting us up for a mainly dry day. With a warm front approaching from the southwest, temperatures will remain above average with highs in the low 50s. That front lifts to the north Tuesday allowing for a big warm up with highs forecast to be in the low 60s (about 20 degrees above average)! Unfortunately, this warmer air mass will be accompanied by a couple of showers.
The warmer weather won’t last for long. A stronger cold front swings through Tuesday night with a few showers, knocking us back down into the low 40s for the second half of the week."

A nice note from Mary Zenon answering my request for information about blog readers in other countries:
"A bunch from France is from are our family. We have had all of my husband’s family visit over the years, including a niece and nephew who went to WCS for a semester. We had them add the blog to their favorites so they can keep up with our end of the world and occasionally spot our house. "
Thanks loads, Mary. I'll try and take a special picture for them, tomorrow!
Keely Cope, of White Street, finishes another successful racing season.
Yes - those are snowmobiles. I asked Keely to tell me about summertime drag racing and she wrote:
"We raced on ice, snow drags and grass drags. About ten events. These are drag races which usually have four lanes heads up racing and are anywhere from 500’ to 660’ length and reach speeds of 85 to 95 mph plus. We have raced in New Hampshire, Vermont and in New York."
She also wrote: "A very big thank you to our sponsors: Sunshine Environmental Services Inc., Woody’s Traction and Stud Boy Traction. Also a big thank you goes out to Jason Purcell, the Kirk’s and Team Reed’s and my Dad. I am very grateful for all of your time, effort and dedication making my 2012 race season a successful one!"
(Congratulations Keely!)

A Few Photos
Dan and Marilyn Maine always have beautiful seasonal displays at Dan's woodworking shop out on Madison Street.
This display has a special message: Look closely.
Sunday afternoon was rainy, dark and gloomy, but here and there - at the Pumilias' home on Stafford Avenue ................
............... and at the Manion Farm on Berrill Avenue - decorations seemed to light up the world!
Also on Berrill Avenue, if you slow down to look at the Grinch and his friend, the Snowman, you'll find yourself grinning right back at them!
