I think that it may have rained a bit during the night.

That was the Gallaghers' cows' forecast!

The WKTV Weather Forecast; "Pleasant weather returns today with sunshine and highs in the low 60s.  A wave of low pressure swings our direction tonight, bringing us clouds and showers after midnight.  Lows near 50.
Clouds and rain, especially south of the valley, expected on Friday.  Highs in the upper 50s.  Conditions look to improve by Saturday.  Some limited sunshine with highs in the low 60s.
More showers possible Sunday and Monday, before a bonifide warmup arrives for the middle of the week."

Yesterday's Pictures

I walked around the Library Garden to see what was going on near the Observatory - yes, it's a sidewalk.

I found more Hops, too!
In addition to the dozen or so vines in the Hop Yard, in front of the Library, Jeff Reynolds has been training this vine to climb the
pergola.

There are dried Hops in the decorations at the Tanners', on Route 20.

There are pumpkins everywhere!

At the Bogans' on Osborn Avenue  ....

... at Gerda's on Madison Street ......

............ and at the Brouillettes' on Barton Avenue.

There nothing quite as bright as the color of swamp maples near Solsville....

... and next to a little pond beyond Jack Prior's home on Madison Street.

It's also the time to look for Meadow Mushrooms --- the kind that are definitely PINK on the underside. I haven't found any, myself, but a friend who had just gathered a grocery bag full gave me a very generous share.  Thank you, again!

Just another reason to go for a long ride in the country.
