For Christmas, Jody Hildreth's family gave him a kayak! For Father's Day, they gave him a "day off" to christen it, and he headed right for Nine Mile Swamp!  Sometime between Christmas and yesterday, he sold his website "Kidwings," bought a new camera, and now has a brand new website called Photoperch: here are just two of many beautiful photographs that he took yesterday that you can see by clicking that link.

Of Historical Interest

This stained glass window, which was in the old Methodist Church and is now owned by the Corning Musem of Glass, will be included in an upcoming exhibition at the Museum of Biblical Art in New York City.

"The Righteous Shall Receive a Crown of Glory"
(Brainard Memorial Window), ca. 1901.

I certainly would not have known about that had I not been having an Email "conversation" with a Mr. Wayne Boucher of Cambridge, England, who is assembling  a semi-definitive list of Tiffany stained glass windows (excluding houses). He wrote, "In 1910 Tiffany published a partial list of his windows, and in there he has the following entry for Grace Episcopal Church, Waterville: the Tower Memorial Window, 'Our Saviour'. "

He had found a photograph of the window on this blog and was inquiring about the status of the building and the window.  I  assured him that both were safe, and added that it is my understanding that there is a second "Tiffany" in the church and said that I would try and photograph it for him and learn what details are available.
