The chance for early showers on Wednesday, especially north and east of Utica. Gradual improvements in the weather, with a return to sunshine by the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. Drying out on Thursday and warming up into the low to mid 80s.

Here and There
WILDFLOWERS EVERYWHERE!
Daylilies with Crown Vetch and Yellow "Bedstraw" on Kemp Road.
Pink and white Mallows are starting to bloom.
Country roadsides are bordered with Wild Parsnip.
(No - not edible. Pretty in bouquets, but can cause a rash.)
Wild Sweet Peas - right on schedule!
Angelica
Growing six or even eight feet tall in moist areas along Valley Road
between Oriskany Falls and Solsville.
This plant has been used for centuries as a medicine for various ailments, a flavoring for teas, and the stem was made into candy.
However - parts of it are quite poisonous, but I've never really known which parts, so have never experimented with any of it!
Viper's Bugloss
Stalks of pretty blue flowers - so nice to look at but
too prickly to pick!
Today's search:
"Turk's Cap" Lilies
hiding in soggy woods.

Have a great day, everyone!
