The Weather Forecast from WKTV:  "High pressure remains in control of our weather again today.  Despite the cool, frosty start, temperatures will warm up more than yesterday with highs near 70.  Increasing clouds tonight with lows in the low 50s.
A cold front slowly arrives on Friday, bringing clouds and the chance of showers very late in the day.
A storm system will bring a round of rain for the second half of Saturday, followed by much cooler weather on Sunday.  Some lake effect rain showers are possible on Sunday as well."

Here and There

After a very rainy Tuesday, painters were back at work at the Mowrey residence on Sanger Avenue, and now I can see who they are; Bill Vetter & Co.  (Bill always gets the fun part!)

On E. Bacon Street.  That's looking nice, too.

Out in the country, the view from Hanover Green is still summery ...

........ but fields of Soy Beans that were gold on Monday are now the color of Wheat.

Decorators love Autumn.  You can tell by the window displays at "This 'n That" on West Main Street ........

......... and at Dan Maine's Woodworking Shop out on Madison Street where Marilyn does the decorating and.......

...  a Hop Vine has nearly covered the sign!

FOR THE RECORD

  The Autumnal Equinox

The word equinox comes from the Latin words for "equal night." The fall and spring equinoxes are the only days of the year in which the Sun crosses the celestial equator.

Fall Foliage

Why do Autumn leaves change color?
The "Farmer's Almanac" explains.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
